Along the Road
Mel Adelglass started taking pictures with a baby Brownie Camera at
the age of 10. Born in the Bronx, Adelglass still lives and works in
New York. He studied liberal arts at Queens College.
Adelglass works as a freelance photographer, doing editorial work for
such magazines as American Heritage, Arts and Antiques, Americana, The
Holland Herald, and Televizier. He's also taught photography at the
New York Institute of Technology. His Manhattan apartment is filled
with unique antiques, a library of photography books and lots of vintage
photographic equipment.
Over the past twenty years he has traveled throughout upstate New York
and New England. It has resulted in a body of work which offers a glimpse
into his personal life journey.
